Canaray is an oral radiology organization providing advanced dental imaging services across Ontario. We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Coordinator to manage payroll and support core finance functions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on payroll experience who prefers a structured, detail-focused position and values consistency and accountability.
What you’ll do- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Review and reconcile timesheets using Ceridian Dayforce and PowerPay
- Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, wage changes, benefits, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and employment standards
- Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries
- Reconcile payroll reports and support year-end activities
- Process vendor invoices, reimbursements, and accounts payable
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll and financial records
What you bring- CPM (Payroll Management Certification)
- 2–3 years of payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce/PowerPay preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Work details- Full-time: 32 hours per week (4 days, in office)
- Some flexibility is required during payroll cycles
- Reports to Human Resources Manager
Compensation- $32–$36 per hour, depending on experience

What success looks like in the first 90 daysBy 30 days- Fully trained on Ceridian Dayforce, PowerPay, and internal payroll processes
- Understands Canaray’s payroll structure, employee classifications, and pay cycles
- Processes payroll with close review and minimal corrections
- Established working relationships with HR, leadership, and bookkeeping partners
By 60 days- Independently processing bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Resolving payroll inquiries confidently and correctly
- Managing vendor invoices and reimbursements with minimal oversight
- Maintaining organized, audit-ready payroll and financial records
By 90 days- Consistently accurate payroll with no recurring errors
- Proactively identifying discrepancies or risks before payroll is finalized
- Trusted point of contact for payroll-related questions
