Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide high-quality care to individuals in our Adult Residential Facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication supervision, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Support Workers play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those they serve through empathetic and personalized care.
Duties- Assist residents or clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with various needs
- Aid in medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accordingly
- Meal Preparation
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
RequirementsPrior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred
Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
Basic caregiving skills including cleaning, meal preparation, and personal hygiene assistance
First Aid Certification mandatory
PSW or PCA certificate must be presented or must agree to take the training upon hiring
Must be reliable, patient, and committed to providing respectful and dignified care
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 84 per week
