The Friends is seeking an Independent Living Assistant to support clients in the Sundridge/South River area. This role involves working across a variety of programs designed to assist individuals with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity and choice
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Provide medication reminders and basic health monitoring
- Support meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Encourage and facilitate client independence and daily functioning
- Communicate effectively with clients and families to understand needs and preferences
- Ensure client comfort, safety and well being

Qualifications- Experience or interest in supporting seniors and adults with physical disabilities in their homes
- Background in health-related field (PSW/DSW/SSW) is an asset but not required
- Commitment to independent living principles and client-directed care
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (travel required)
Job Types: Permanent, Casual
Pay: $22.95-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
