Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance Operations, the Controller plays a strategic role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and added value in accounting and management systems. As a true business partner, the Controller supports decision-making by providing reliable financial information while overseeing the overall performance of the plant.
What You Can Expect…Financial Management- Oversee the processing of accounting transactions (accounts payable, payroll, general accounting) to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Lead the monthly closing process and produce financial performance reports.
- Develop, present, and monitor the annual manufacturing budget, including monthly variance analysis (materials, costs, production).
Management Support & Performance- Advise the Plant Manager and department heads on the financial impact of their decisions.
- Provide relevant financial analyses to support strategic direction.
- Develop and maintain performance tracking tools (dashboards, key performance indicators).
- Actively participate in the capital committee and assess the financial implications of projects.
Internal Controls & Systems- Ensure the effectiveness of financial information systems (SAP, Excel).
- Implement and maintain robust internal control mechanisms.
Leadership & Talent Development- Supervise, train, and engage the accounting team and other departments as needed.
- Foster a culture of performance, discipline, and collaboration.
- Raise employee awareness of the environmental impact of their activities and the requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)- Promote the plant’s HSE vision and participate in annual management reviews.
- Monitor incidents/accidents, participate in investigations, and ensure compliance with safety practices.
- Regularly communicate safety notices and best practices to teams.
What We Expect…- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance).
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in team management.
- Experience in an industrial environment and strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of audits and internal controls.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and SAP.
- Inspiring leadership and change management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (essential for interacting with North American partners).

The starting range for this role is $115,160 - $153,540 or higher, depending on your experience.
