Job Description:As a Line/Prep Cook at HARVEST, you will be an essential part of the culinary team, preparing fresh, high-quality dishes that meet our standards and exceed guest’s expectations. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and help create an exceptional experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:As Line/Prep Cook at HARVEST Clean Eats, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares fresh ingredients by washing, cutting, and portioning items for daily service.
- Leads cooking duties including roasting vegetables and preparing sauces from scratch.
- Supervises kitchen staff, ensuring food is prepared to quality and safety standards.
- Trains new team members and supports ongoing development of kitchen crew.
- Maintains inventory and ensures proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Sets up and maintains clean, organized workstations for efficient prep and service.
- Labels and stocks food items, ensuring FIFO rotation and food safety compliance.
- Promotes a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health regulations.
- Ensures all dishes are prepared according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Minimizes food waste through proper prep techniques and portion control.
Requirements:- Previous experience as a prep or line cook is preferred (but we’re happy to train the right candidate!).
- A basic knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and growing environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
