Principal

Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is seeking candidates for immediate openings. The board serves schools in Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville.

Successful candidates will foster a Catholic learning community through leadership and collaboration. Principals set direction by building a shared vision aligned with the board’s multi-year strategic plan and are accountable to parents, students, the community and the board.

Qualifications and experience

• Successful completion of the Ontario School Principal Qualifications Course, Parts I and II.
• Completion of Religious Education Specialist qualifications.
• At least seven years of successful teaching experience, including at least one year as a vice-principal. Preference will be given to candidates with three years of vice-principal experience.
• Experience in school and board-wide activities; experience in a variety of settings is preferred.

• Securing accountability.

Application materials

Include a resume of no more than four pages, copies of qualifications, a Catholic Pastoral Reference Form for a Leadership Position completed by the applicant’s home parish priest within the last 12 months, and two letters of reference dated within the last 12 months. One reference letter must be from the current Supervisory Officer.
