Job Title: Procurement Specialist (Non-IT) - Intermediate
Location: Edmonton, AB/Onsite
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Client: Public Sector
Pay Rate: $45/hr - $50/hr (CAD)
Mandatory Skills:- 5-7 Years of experience in leading and supporting end-to-end procurement activities including development, issuance, and management of RFX documents (RFP, RFQ, RFI, NFRP) in alignment with project objectives
- Analyze, gather, and refine business and technical requirements to translate them into clear, compliant, and comprehensive solicitation documents
- Develop procurement strategies, evaluation methodologies, scoring criteria, and detailed evaluation plans to support fair and transparent vendor selection
- Review and assess vendor proposals for completeness, compliance, and alignment with mandatory and rated requirements
- Facilitate bidder conferences, vendor communications, and respond to inquiries by interpreting RFX requirements and drafting formal responses
- Support contract negotiations, finalization, and execution processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders and selected vendors
- Conduct post-procurement activities including vendor debriefs, performance evaluations, and documentation of lessons learned
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports, award recommendations, and procurement documentation in accordance with government policies and audit standards
- Maintain accurate, audit-compliant procurement records, ensuring timely updates in systems such as Ariba/1GX and SharePoint
- Provide procurement advisory support to internal clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams on sourcing strategies and compliance requirements
- Perform quantitative and qualitative cost-benefit analysis to support informed procurement decisions and value optimization
- Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within procurement processes
