What will you do?A Lead Line Operator will have extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, managing the smooth operations of assembly lines by maintaining and monitoring all activities in the production cell to ensure that daily targets are met.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and immediately resolve any failures reported by Assembly, Pack-up or Test Operators
- Report any test software or equipment issues or improvements to Test Engineering and Manager
- Report any process issues or improvements to Test Engineering and Manager
- Continuously work with NCI Team to determine root cause and corrective actions of failures in the Cell
- Mechanical / electrical assembly of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) into product case
- PCBA and metal work inspection as per inspection procedure
- Use fixtures and power/hand tools according to product specifications
- Follow detailed process instructions and work towards meeting daily goals
- Perform automated system level testing (Pre-Test, Burn-In and Final Test) on network switching equipment to determine product functionality
- Execute HIPOT (high potential) testing by complying with process and safety procedure
- Constantly maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment by complying with procedures.
- Report any cell related challenges to Test Engineering and Manager
- Lead and coach team members on standard manufacturing practices, team building, , open communication and maintaining a respectful work environment.
- Team member yearly reviews and setting of individual objectives
What will you need to succeed?- Degree/ Diploma in electrical/ industrial or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
- 5 -10 years’ experience in a line manufacturing/production environment with at least 2 years in a lead role
- Strong shop‑floor experience improving processes and solving operational issues
- Excellent communication and leadership team skills
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills
Compensation:Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 60,000 CAD - $ 75,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of 10% of base salary, based on Company performance metrics.
