How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:The Program Support will provide administrative and outreach support to team members in community engagement and on-the-ground initiatives across TRCA’s jurisdiction as part of the Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Program (SNAP) team.
Major Responsibilities:- Provides basic administrative and program support for outreach programs and on-the-ground projects.
- Supports the development of online and in-person program preparation and delivery; helping to deliver online and in-person workshops for community members and local stakeholders
- Provides administrative support, including scheduling meetings on platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Go-To-Meeting. Provide basic level support in records keeping and database management, and other administrative tasks.
- Supports data entry of information of data, conducting community research surveys, assisting with online research activities.
- Assists with making calls and addressing program inquiries from members of the public
- Provides insights to support the improvement of community engagement methods, promoting the program in innovative ways, based on insight gained by interacting with the community
- Attends/participates in events to actively promote and support events and activities.
What will you need to succeed:Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)Experience- Previous experience in customer service or working with the public
Knowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies- Ability to communicate effectively with tact and courtesy
- Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate project status for various audiences
- Basic computer proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint)
- Must be flexible to work all required shifts, including weekends and holidays
