YOUR IMPACTReporting to the Lead Gameplay Programmer, the Gameplay Programmer will work within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Their role will involve implementing gameplay elements in accordance with the project's design requirements and technical guidelines.
RESPONSABILITIES- Analyzing and grasping the project's gameplay goals to evaluate their technical viability, then defining and implementing the necessary features.
- Propose improvements to the existing pipeline that align with the project's needs.
- Engage in discussions with designers and animators regarding technical constraints and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with the "tools" team to develop necessary tools for efficient feature development during production.
- Provide support for designed AI functionalities and systems throughout production.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Ensure technical documentation is written.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role, where you were able to develop your skills and expertise.
- Proven experience in close collaboration with game designers, a valuable asset.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or C#, and a solid understanding of object-oriented development.
- Proficiency in modern AI technologies such as NavMeshes and pathfinding algorithms.
- Essential autonomy and flexibility in work organization.
- Demonstrated passion for gaming and game design.
- Result-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Experience with commonly used development tools, including Visual Studio and Perforce.
