About UsIris Group of Companies is a growing design-build construction team based in Winnipeg, delivering commercial, tenant improvement, and institutional projects. Working closely with our sister company Sirius Construction, including our in-house electrical division, we manage projects from concept through completion with a strong focus on execution, speed, and accountability.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support our project managers, site teams, and electrical division. This role is critical to keeping projects on track, ensuring communication between trades, suppliers, consultants, and our in-house electrical team, while maintaining accurate project documentation.
This is a fast-paced role suited for someone who can take ownership, communicate clearly, and push projects forward.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal trades (including electrical)
- Support electrical scope coordination including rough-ins, service upgrades, inspections, and scheduling with Manitoba Hydro and other stakeholders
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and shop drawings
- Monitor project costs and assist with budget tracking
- Support progress billing and payment applications
- Maintain organized project documentation and file systems
- Attend site meetings and take meeting minutes
- Ensure timely communication across all project stakeholders
- Follow up on outstanding items to keep projects moving forward
Requirements- 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination (preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with construction drawings and specifications
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable
Nice to Have (Strong Asset)- Experience with electrical coordination or working with electrical trades
- Understanding of electrical scopes such as service upgrades, panel coordination, rough-ins, and inspections
- Familiarity with Manitoba Hydro processes and scheduling
- Experience in commercial or tenant improvement projects
- Experience working in a design-build environment
