Where You’ll Make a Difference Every DayAs a Project Engineer, you will provide engineering and project leadership across a diverse portfolio of Thunder Bay’s Infrastructure Program. You will oversee design reviews, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
You will coordinate all phases of project delivery—from planning and design through construction and close-out—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. How You’ll Support the TeamIn this role, you will guide projects from concept to completion, ensuring seamless coordination. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Participating in the planning, scheduling, and direction of the City’s Infrastructure Asset Management Program and Infrastructure improvements.
- Preparing environmental assessments, designs, plans, specifications, contract documents, detailed cost estimates and performing contract administration for infrastructure projects.
- Participating in the development of the City’s infrastructure annual capital budget.
- Participating in the development of engineering and development standards.
- Maintaining current knowledge on related municipal design trends and regul
