ADGA is seeking an experienced Project Leader to support an upcoming initiative focused on the development of a Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capability. This role will be instrumental in shaping and delivering a new capability for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), guiding the project from early concept through to deployment and sustainment. The Project Leader will support the development of project scope, cost, scheduling, and executive management.
- Lead and support the development of the capacity requirements to deliver and sustain the C-UAS capability;
- Lead and support the development of the project scope, including lifecycle estimating and C-UAS continuous capability sustainment;
- Support development of project and sustainment program cost estimates for C-UAS capability;
- Lead and support development of project schedule;
- Lead and support the development of milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) for project tracking;
- Lead and coordinate executive-level and governance meetings and briefings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items; and
- Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders of inter-related projects and capabilities to support integration of C-UAS capability into CAF operations.
Qualifications- Experience as a Project Leader or Senior Project Manager within DND, supporting procurement, force development, concept development, or doctrine development
- Proven experience in project or program management, preferably in defence, aerospace, or complex technology environments
- Strong understanding of capability development, requirements definition, and lifecycle management
- Minimum of 7 years progressive experience as a Senior Project Manager/Leader:
- Managing projects with annual budgets over $1M, including financial, scope, schedule, and risk management
- Stakeholder engagement, communications, and preparing technical and management documentation
- Drafting correspondence, assessing deliverables, and preparing CDRLs and DIDs
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience briefing senior or executive-level stakeholders
- Experience working as a Senior Project Manager/Project Leader in early-stage project stand-up.
- Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, outreach, and alignment building to secure support, enable collaboration, and advance project objectives.
- Ability to connect technical capability considerations to project scope, cost, schedule, sustainment, and governance decisions.
- Exposure to drone systems, air defence systems, flight control technologies, and/or broader aviation systems will be considered a strong asset.
- Proof of an Undergraduate level university degree in any discipline or Proof of a College diploma in Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration or suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR
- A current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be considered a strong asset.
Additional Information- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance.
- The posted salary reflects an employee compensation model; consultant rates will be adjusted accordingly. Consultants will be required to hold a Controlled Goods clearance and insurance.
