Position SummaryThe Project Trucking Spotter plays a critical role in supporting daily site logistics operations by tracking and coordinating truck movements. This position is responsible for accurate data entry, monitoring delays and standby times, and reconciling shipping documentation. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and acts as a key liaison between the off-site scale operations and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Record and track all truck arrivals and departures on site in real time
- Accurately enter operational data with a strong focus on delays, wait times, and standby tracking
- Monitor trucking activity to identify inefficiencies or issues impacting productivity
- Reconcile Bills of Lading (BOLs) with trucking units to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Communicate effectively with off-site scale personnel to verify load and haul information
- Act as a liaison between field operations and project management, providing timely updates
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records for reporting and auditing purposes
- Support daily reporting requirements and assist with operational summaries as needed
Qualifications & Skills- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., spreadsheets, data entry systems)
- Previous experience in trucking, logistics, or construction environments is an asset
Working Conditions- 10–12 hour shifts in an active industrial/project site environment
- 4 on / 4 off rotational schedule
- Combination of field and office-based tasks
- May require working in varying weather conditions
