SummaryThis is a diverse role that can encompass the core function aspects of both Quality Control and Quality Assurance. The incumbent demonstrates role model employee behavior as it related to Food Safety and working in a Food Manufacturing establishment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assisting in review and validation of incoming certificates of analysis
- Review and testing raw materials and finished products, using analytical equipment, spectrophotometer, GC and wet chemistry as needed.
- Input raw data into database for system generation of Certificates of Analysis.
- Actively participates in Hold and Release of raw materials and finished goods
- Works with shipping and receiving to ensure raw materials are sampled
- QC Lab support: storing samples, filing documents, assisting Lab colleagues.
- Coordinate internal and external information requests and respond in a timely manner. This would involve reviewing and completing customer information requests. Completing customer regulatory compliance forms.
- Maintain current enrollment in information gathering systems I.E. Tracegains, SEDEX, as well as customer specific portals.
- Provide technical and regulatory support to sales department under direction from Direct Manager.
- Provide technical and regulatory support to customers under direction from the Direct Manager.
- Provide support to Robertet Canada Integration data entry I.E PV, WERCS, others as required.
- Collaboratively maintain QA/ QC documentation IE specifications, GMO, nutritional info etc.
Position Requirements- Bachelor's Degree Required in Food Science, Microbiology, or science related field.
- Minimum of 2 years functional plant experience in food safety.
