OverviewWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Respite Workers to provide essential support and care to individuals with diverse needs. This position involves working closely with clients to deliver personalized care in a safe and respectful environment.
Responsibilities- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean living space
- Offer assistance with mobility, including heavy lifting or transferring as needed
- Engage clients in recreational activities or hobbies to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure environment for clients
Experience- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable
- Background working with individuals with disabilities, dementia care, or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of caregiving practices including medication administration and basic nursing skills is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation, light cleaning, and providing compassionate patient care is beneficial
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients with mobility needs
- Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role
Pay$17.00-$26.71 per hour
