Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Leadership- Lead daily service operations to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience
- Uphold and enforce fine dining service standards and steps of service
- Maintain strong presence on the floor, actively engaging with guests and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure consistent communication between kitchen and service teams
- Oversee reservations, seating flow, and service pacing
Team Leadership & Development- Train, coach, and mentor servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
- Conduct pre-service briefings and maintain team alignment on daily objectives
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Lead by example and foster a positive, high-performance service culture
Operational Management- Manage labor scheduling and maintain productivity targets
- Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and organization of the dining room and bar
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Work closely with culinary leadership to maintain strong front- and back-of-house communication
- Support inventory management, ordering procedures, and product knowledge
Beverage & Product Knowledge- Maintain strong working knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail programs
- Support beverage sales initiatives, promotions, and staff education
- Ensure staff maintain strong menu knowledge and proper food and wine pairing recommendations
Qualifications- Minimum 5 years experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
- Minimum 5 years of food & beverage management experience
- Strong understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards
- Advanced knowledge of culinary terminology, food preparation techniques, and menu structure
- Proven people leadership and team development skills
- Strong understanding of labour management and operational efficiency
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
Preferred Qualifications- Post-secondary degree in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Management
- Wine certification (e.g. CAPS, ISG, WSET or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of wine service, cocktails, and beverage programs
- Experience managing inventory, product rotation, and beverage purchasing
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 annually (including gratuities)
