Position OverviewThe Rotary RV Park Society is seeking a reliable, hands-on RV Park & Campground Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our campground at Charlie Lake. This is a live-on-site contract position requiring a strong commitment to customer service, facility upkeep, and administrative management. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests while supporting the Society’s mission of giving back to the community.
Reporting StructureThe RV Park & Campground Manager will operate under the direction and guidance of the Rotary RV Park Society Board of Directors, with primary reporting and communication flowing through the President of the Board. The Manager is expected to work collaboratively with the Board and provide regular updates, reports, and operational feedback as required.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Services- Reside on-site for the duration of the operating season (May–September)
- Staff the park office daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Greet guests, assign campsites, and provide information as required
- Collect campsite user fees daily and maintain accurate financial records
- Enforce park policies and procedures in a professional manner
Financial Administration- Accurately record all cash receipts in accordance with Society procedures
- Complete regular bank deposits. Provide daily and monthly transaction summaries as required
Reservations & Off-Season Duties- Monitor campground website, email, and phone year-round
- Manage reservations from October through opening in May
- Maintain accurate booking records and respond to inquiries promptly
Maintenance & Grounds keepingPerform minor building and mechanical repairs to maintain facilities
Conduct daily cleaning of:
- Washrooms
- Laundry facilities
- Administrative office
- Shop areas
Maintain park grounds, including:
- Mowing grass (inside park and ball diamond)
- Landscaping (flowers, trees, lawns)
- Fire pits and campsites
- Roadways and general yard upkeep
Level and clean campsites daily
Float/grade park roadways as required
Remove garbage/debris from all site locations daily
Staff & Contractor Oversight- Hire additional seasonal staff as required
- Hire and supervise specialized tradespeople when necessary
- Ensure all work meets park standards and expectations
Seasonal Operations- Oversee full park start-up (May 1) and shutdown (September 30) procedures
Qualifications- Previous experience in campground, hospitality, or property management preferred
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Basic maintenance and repair abilities
- Comfortable handling cash and financial reporting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Willingness to live on-site for the full operating season
Accommodation RequirementThe Manager is required to provide their own accommodation (RV or equivalent). A full-service campsite (power, water, and sewer) will be provided for the duration of the contract.
