Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Security Manager to lead and coordinate security operations within a major event environment in Downtown Vancouver. This role is a senior-level leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning, execution, and incident response across multiple operational areas.

The Security Manager will serve as the primary on-site security leader, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations while maintaining strong working relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee all security operations within the assigned area
• Supervise and manage security personnel, ensuring effective deployment and performance
• Coordinate security support across multiple locations
• Monitor and respond to incidents, ensuring timely reporting and resolution
• Develop and execute emergency preparedness and response procedures
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant authorities
• Ensure smooth and secure operations to support overall event success
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with venue operations teams, transportation hubs and key event stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of security management experience
• Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary security operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Experience working with law enforcement and emergency services
• Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset)
• Strong knowledge of local security practices and regulations
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Established network of local law enforcement and city contacts
• Experience in major events, stadium operations, or large public venues
• Background in security management and law enforcement.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
