The roleYou’ll be the financial backbone of our firm — a trusted partner to our leadership team who brings both precision and strategic thinking. In this role, you’ll own all financial operations, keep us compliant with Law Society trust accounting standards, and help shape the financial direction of a growing firm. It’s a role with real responsibility, real variety, and real influence.
Financial Management & Reporting- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for partners
- Monitor firm profitability, practice group performance, and key financial metrics
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Analyze variances and provide financial recommendations to management
Trust Accounting & Compliance- Ensure compliance with Law Society trust accounting rules
- Oversee trust account reconciliations and reporting
- Coordinate Law Society audits and external reviews
- Maintain strong internal financial controls
Billing & Revenue- Oversee client billing and disbursement tracking
- Monitor WIP, accounts receivable, and collections
- Work with lawyers to resolve billing issues
Systems & Leadership- Administer legal accounting systems (Action Step/Soluno, Tymetrix, Sage; knowledge of NetDocs is an asset)
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and efficiency
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and banks
What you bring- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
- CPA designation, or actively working toward one (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Law Society trust accounting rules
- Familiarity with legal accounting software such as Action Step/Soluno, Tymetrix, or Sage
- Excellent analytical thinking and leadership skills
- A collaborative, detail-oriented approach and the confidence to own your work
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $65,000–$90,000 depending on experience

What you can expect hereThis is a Kamloops-based, on-site role at our main office. We also have a Vancouver office, but this position is rooted in the Kamloops community.
