Senior Cyber Security Network Analyst

Royal Bank of Canada is hiring a full-time Senior Cyber Security Network Analyst in Toronto, Ontario. The role supports global network security operations and includes Level 2 on-call support on a 24/7 rotation.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill global firewall requests and maintain site-to-site VPN and firewall platforms.
• Respond to network security events and incident escalations.
• Work with DevOps and automation teams to define requirements and validate automation before production.
• Perform root cause analysis with vendors and escalation teams, and implement lasting fixes.
• Maintain support documentation and reports for major network outages.
• Provide Level 2 on-call support for firewalls, VPNs, and business-to-business connectivity.
• Collaborate with business units, vendors, and internal teams on incidents and security requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in cyber and network security.
• Current knowledge of IP internetworking, security exposures, and mitigation approaches.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and IPsec site-to-site VPN deployment.
• Two or more certifications in Palo Alto, Cisco Firewall, Fortinet, or Check Point.
• Knowledge of network automation and programmability, including Python/API, Ansible, or Terraform.

Agile/Jira, ITIL and ServiceNow, AI in cybersecurity, and AlgoSec knowledge are considered assets.
