About the role
The City of Coquitlam is hiring up to two Senior ICT Project Managers for enterprise technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives, including a major enterprise-wide ERP transformation. These regular full-time exempt positions are based in Coquitlam, with some flexible hybrid work options.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology transformation projects from planning and procurement through implementation, go-live, stabilization, and transition to service.
- Manage project plans, budgets, schedules, governance, risks, communications, and financial performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, interdependent workstreams, vendors, implementation partners, and stakeholders across departments.
- Support organizational readiness and adoption of new technologies, processes, and ways of working.
- Present project updates, recommendations, risks, and decisions to executive sponsors and steering committees.
- Develop business cases, project charters, procurement documentation, and requests for proposals.
- Improve project management methodologies and governance practices, and provide guidance to project team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, plus at least eight years of progressive project management experience leading complex technology or digital transformation initiatives, or an equivalent combination.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide projects, managing budgets and vendors, supporting executive governance, and working across waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with organizational change and business readiness. Major ERP transformation experience is particularly important for one of the positions; experience with platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, or Unit4 is an asset.
Compensation and benefits
Annual salary range: $131,057–$147,420 (2026 rates). Benefits include vacation, extended health benefits, participation in the Municipal Pension Plan, learning and development opportunities, and the opportunity to participate in an earned day off/flex day program.
