We are a growing, multi‑location organization seeking an energetic Senior Manager to work closely with our Accounting & Finance team. This is a permanent, full‑time position in the tri-city area.
Responsibilities include:- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting for multiple levels within the organization, including various real estate holding companies.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensuring consistent accounting practices across all locations and regions
- Executing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. Ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and cut-offs are complete and accurate, supported by clean working papers and reconciliations.
- Supporting location management to resolve financial related issues, ensure cutoff procedures are followed and compliance issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Maintaining cash flow forecasts for multiple entities.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and analytical reviews
- Reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses and resolving issues and ensuring compliance with accounting standards (ASPE)
- Preparing commodity tax reconciliations and filing returns.
- Focusing on continuous improvement initiatives to improve accounting processes, subledger integrity, and various application integrations (ERP, payroll, AP automation, other reporting tools)
- Mentoring and coaching various accounting staff members.
- Assisting with special projects, due diligence, and strategic initiatives as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with at least seven years of progressive accounting experience and a minimum of three years’ management experience
- Proven ability to deliver accurate and timely day-to-day accounting reports
- Excellent computer skills with advanced excel skills, including the ability to create complex financial models, analyze data, and create reports.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports directly to a Finance Director and provides high-level exposure to executive decision-making, mentorship, and the oversight necessary to advance into a full Controllership role in the future.

Pay: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
