Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives – Corporate Strategy
Walmart Canada is seeking a Senior Manager reporting to the Director of Corporate Strategy. This high-visibility role supports the Office of the President and drives internal strategy and critical, large-scale initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose business issues, identify opportunities, assess options, recommend solutions, and develop implementation roadmaps.
- Structure ambiguous problems, create project plans, and use data-driven analysis to develop recommendations.
- Build business cases and financial models using relevant data sources and modelling methods.
- Lead project workstreams, own analysis and insights, and present recommendations to senior leaders and executives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communications, and support successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning, including long-range and annual plans.
- Develop and share competitive intelligence, market outlooks, and insights on economic conditions, competitors, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in management consulting or strategy at a large retail or consumer organization.
- Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, communication, data-analysis, and presentation skills.
- Retail experience and familiarity with AI tools are considered advantages.
Compensation and location
Pay range: $109,400–$150,480; compensation depends on relevant experience.
