Senior SEO SpecialistSavvy Search Marketing, including its legal marketing division Savvy Law Firm Marketing, is hiring a Senior SEO Specialist to lead SEO strategy and execution for law firms and home services businesses across Canada and the U.S.
This is a fully remote role open to candidates in Canada. Preference will be given to candidates based in Vancouver, BC or the Lower Mainland, as well as those able to work effectively in the Pacific time zone.
This role is ideally a full-time permanent position, though we are open to a freelance arrangement for an exceptional candidate.
As a Senior SEO Specialist, you will play a key role in helping clients grow their visibility, rankings, traffic, and qualified leads through thoughtful SEO strategy and high-quality execution.
What You’ll Do- Lead SEO strategy for assigned client accounts
- Develop and execute on-page, local, technical, and content SEO initiatives
- Conduct audits to identify opportunities related to rankings, traffic, conversions, and site health
- Optimize Google Business Profiles, local landing pages, citations, internal linking, and schema
- Collaborate with content, web, PPC, and account management teams to execute growth strategies
- Monitor SEO performance and provide clear reporting on rankings, traffic, leads, and lead quality
- Communicate strategy, progress, and recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Stay current on algorithm updates, SEO best practices, and trends relevant to local lead generation
What We’re Looking For- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience
- Strong experience with local SEO, on-page SEO, and technical SEO
- Strong understanding of SEO strategy for lead generation businesses
- Experience managing SEO campaigns with clear performance accountability
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Business Profile
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into practical action
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with law firms, home services businesses, or other competitive local lead generation industries
- Strong understanding of E-E-A-T and YMYL content strategy
- Experience collaborating with writers and developers to implement SEO recommendations
- Familiarity with competitive local markets and multi-location SEO strategies
