Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Technology Architect / Enterprise Systems Engineer to support the development and modernization of enterprise technology standards across complex, multi-site environments. This role will focus on defining and authoring system specifications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling the integration of operational technologies including communications, access control, automation, and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across diverse stakeholder groups to design scalable, secure, and future-ready standards that support both on-premises and cloud-integrated environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and modernization of enterprise technology standards and specifications across multiple sites
- Author detailed system design and architecture documentation aligned with open standards and long-term strategic goals
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards including building codes, transportation regulations, AODA, TSSA, and elevator safety codes (e.g., CSA B44)
- Design and validate integrated systems including access control, surveillance, communications (intercom, VOIP, radio), networking, and automation systems
- Support decoupling and modernization of legacy systems into scalable, secure architectures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, validate designs, and ensure alignment across domains
- Conduct compliance reviews and ensure systems adhere to defined specifications and standards
- Contribute to the design and implementation of building automation and control systems with large-scale distributed control points
- Define and support integration across remote sites, including monitoring, operations, and third-party systems
