Server / Bartender
As a Server at 1948 Bar & Bistro, you are responsible for delivering polished, genuine hospitality in a fast-paced waterfront bistro environment where guests arrive with high expectations for both service and experience. This role requires professionalism under pressure, strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
Our service team members are adaptable hospitality professionals who support the entire front-of-house operation, from elevated table service to hosting, wine and beer service, and assisting during high-volume periods or special events.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver warm, attentive, and professional service that makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
- Remain calm, organized, and efficient during busy service periods while maintaining high service standards and a positive attitude.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, communicate modifications and dietary requests clearly, and ensure timely service execution.
- Guide guests through the menu with confidence, including features, wine pairings, cocktail offerings, and seasonal dishes.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns professionally, gracefully, and efficiently.
- Support bar operations during peak periods by pouring beer, wine, and assisting the bartending team as needed.
- Step into host responsibilities when required, including greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and supporting guest flow.
- Maintain a strong awareness of the dining room, marina guests, patio service, and overall guest experience at all times.
- Assist with private events, catered functions, marina gatherings, and occasional yacht-side service.
- Support event setup, service flow, breakdown, and overall execution with a team-oriented mindset.
- Provide discreet and polished service for VIP guests and special occasions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations, dining areas, and support spaces.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and leadership teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Uphold the hospitality standards, professionalism, and community-focused culture of the resort and marina.
