Position Summary:The Service Manager is accountable for operating an efficient and profitable service department with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality workmanship. They are an essential part of the dealership location, one who works in collaboration with other departments to ensure the customers transaction and dealership experience is a success.
Role and Responsibilities:Business Development:- Providing and maintaining the highest level of customer service
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer satisfaction
- Customer communication to resolve issues, maintain and develop relationships while also working to grow new business.
Management and Quality Assurance:- Successfully manage productivity, training and performance of the Service Writers, Service Team Leads and Service Technicians.
- Provide staff with leadership, guidance and effective communication
- Manage efficient and profitable departments to meet both projected targets and budget expectations
- Regularly review open repair orders and perform regular audits on repair work
- Monitors department issues and customer complaints to define patterns and establish resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with manufactures training, guidelines and warranty procedures
- Focus on the quality of workmanship and improved productivity of technicians in order to meet the company’s objectives
- Implement and uphold company procedures related to repair management and customer communication
Other:- Ensure the department is clean and organized to maintain efficiency and meet required safety standards
- Effectively implement Company policies and work safety rules & regulations
- Participate in training and personal development
- Performs the role in a professional manner that aligns with the Company’s’ values and ideals

Qualifications:- Knowledge of Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks and their operational needs is required
- Heavy Duty Mechanic– Red Seal Journeyman Truck & Transport Mechanic certificate or equivalent is required. Non-ticketed may be considered depending on experience.
- Previous experience in a service supervisory role (lead hand or foreman) is an asset
- Organized with strong leadership skills
- Strong commitment to the customer and ensuring quality workmanship with a superior service experience
- Excellent customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills; including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Previous CDK experience is an asset

Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
