In this fast-paced, dual-role position, you will combine your technical knowledge with exceptional customer service skills to support both parts sales and service operations. From helping customers find the right powersports or marine parts and accessories to coordinating service appointments and repair orders, your role is key to ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience. Responsibilities- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct powersports or marine parts and accessories, providing knowledgeable guidance on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
- Act as the first point of contact for service customers by scheduling appointments, opening and closing work orders, and clearly communicating repair timelines and expectations
- Manage repair orders from start to finish, including quoting, approvals, updates, and final invoicing
- Maintain accurate inventory control through stock tracking, ordering, and restocking using LightSpeed
- Process sales transactions and service payments while maintaining strong cash handling and POS standards
- Keep customers informed throughout the service process, providing updates on job status, delays, or additional repair needs
- Maintain organized stock areas and service documentation, ensuring efficient workflows and accurate record-keeping
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and urgency
- Support upselling opportunities by recommending additional parts, accessories, or services that enhance the customer’s experience and equipment performance
Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience in a powersports, marine, or automotive dealership environment (service and/or parts experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of service processes, repair orders, and parts inventory management
- Proficiency with dealership management systems such as LightSpeed
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work orders and inventory tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confident phone etiquette
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and basic data analysis
- Knowledge of retail math, pricing, and quoting for both parts and service
- Proven ability to upsell while maintaining a customer-first approach
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
