THE POSITIONATTA Elevators Vancouver Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to join our team. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager. The Service Supervisors primary responsibility will be to oversee day-to-day service and repair operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company and regulatory standards.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor all service and repair work, ensuring manpower is allocated effectively across active jobs and work is completed on time
- Coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, and modernization teams to balance workload and staffing requirements
- Communicate schedules, service timelines, and updates clearly with customers
- Oversee service and repair activities across your assigned portfolio, including regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality
- Order materials for repair work and ensure crews have the required resources when jobs are scheduled
- Review service and work orders, including completion notices, ensuring all labour, purchase orders, and materials are accurately captured prior to billing approval
- Monitor job costs, review service reports, and manage labour and material usage to maintain profitability and meet budget targets
- Maintain parts and tool inventory to support efficient field operations
- Support the hiring, training, and development of mechanics in collaboration with leadership
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all field activities
- Coordinate and manage all required testing (Category 1 and Category 5) for units under contract
- Ensure all work complies with Technical Safety BC requirements and applicable codes
- Prepare monthly reports related to field expenditures and overall accountability
- Interface with union representatives as required
Qualifications- 3 to 5 years of experience in a service, construction, or field-based environment
- At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising teams
- Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, and workforce coordination
- Experience managing multiple jobs, crews, and shifting priorities
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Ability to read and understand technical information and job requirements
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with both field staff and customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Customer-focused mindset with a practical, problem-solving approach
- Elevator industry experience is considered an asset but not required
