Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing customer interactions, and maintaining a smooth workflow during your shift.
Duties- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or food service operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality food safety and presentation standards.
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an excellent dining experience.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage kitchen and dining area cleanliness.
- Support team management by scheduling shifts, delegating tasks, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Assist in restaurant management duties such as opening/closing procedures and reporting operational issues.
Requirements- Proven supervising or team management experience in the food service or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills required.
- Background in restaurant management or related hospitality roles preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing, training, and developing staff members.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
