Beechgrove Country Foods is seeking a hands-on Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to support our growing food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory control, and coordination with production and logistics teams.
The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or food production environment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Core Responsibilities- Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinating inbound and outbound trucks, scheduling shipments, and preparing bills of ladings.
- Inventory Control: Managing inventory of raw/packaging/spice and finished goods, ensuring FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methodology to prevent spoilage.
- Team Leadership: Supervising warehouse personnel, assigning tasks, providing training on safety procedures
- Compliance & Food Safety: Ensuring strict adherence to HACCP regulations, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Quality & Record Keeping: Inspecting incoming raw materials and outgoing goods for quality, identifying damaged products, and maintaining detailed computerized records for traceability.
Key Requirements- Experience: 3-5 years of shipping/receiving experience, with leadership experience in food manufacturing or distribution preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (Excel/Word), and experience with inventory tracking.
- Certifications: Reach truck license is mandatory.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and WHMIS regulations.
Required Skills- Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring correct product labeling (especially allergens) and accurate inventory counts.
- Fast-Paced Management: Ability to thrive in a high-volume, refrigerated, or high-pressure environment.
- Problem-Solving: Resolving discrepancies with shipments, carrier issues, or product shortages.
- Communication: Interacting with production, sales, and logistics teams to meet customer demands.
Physical Demands- Must be able to work in varying temperatures, including cold storage/freezer areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long hours.

Pay: $48,500.00-$50,000.00 per year
