About the Role:We're looking for someone warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to—someone who’s excited about local, handmade goods and enjoys connecting with people. As a Shop Assistant, you'll be chatting with customers, sharing the background of the pieces we carry, and helping them have a great experience in the shop.
When the store’s quiet, you’ll help keep things running smoothly—tagging new items, logging inventory, tidying shelves, and doing a bit of light cleaning like sweeping and dusting. Must be able to work independently and complete opening and closing tasks.
What You'll Be Doing:- Greeting customers and making them feel at home
- Talking about the products and the Canadian makers behind them
- Helping customers find what they’re looking for (or just enjoy browsing!)
- Tagging and organizing new inventory
- Entering product info into our inventory system
- Keeping the shop neat and tidy (think: cleaning shelves, sweeping, etc.)
What We're Looking For:- Friendly and comfortable chatting with all kinds of people
- Genuinely interested in handmade, local products
- Reliable, organized, and happy to take initiative
- Retail or customer service experience is great—but not a must
Hours & Pay:$17.85/ hr. 3-4 days / week which includes Weekends.
