Job OverviewWe are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Manager to join our automotive team. The Service Manager acts as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process. The Service Manager will be responsible for managing day to day activities, opening and closing the store and managing staff. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have management and mechanical experience and be adept at upselling services to enhance the customer experience.
Duties- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport.
- Accurately document vehicle issues and service needs based on customer descriptions.
- Generate repair orders, ensuring all necessary information is captured for technicians.
- Communicate repair estimates and service recommendations clearly to customers.
- Upsell additional services or repairs that benefit the customer while meeting dealership goals.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, additional needs, or post-service satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed records of all service interactions and transactions.
- Managing staff to assure a smooth operation.
- Open and close the store.
- Handle day to day interactions with staff and customers.
Experience- Dealership experience or mechanic background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Familiarity with any shop management system is beneficial.
- Experience in sales, particularly upselling services or products to customers.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems is required.
- Prior experience in automotive repair shops or service departments is a plus.
