Position OverviewThis position is responsible for supporting execution of projects including new stores, relocations, renovations, and store closings. This position is responsible for the planning, organization, execution and the completion of the scope of identified work in each project.
Essential Job Functions- Coordinate all aspects of store and office construction projects including renovations, relocations, special projects, new stores, closing stores.
- Partner with both internal (Ops, Visual, Marketing, HR, LP) and external partners (landlords, mall management, construction partners, vendors, etc.) for all construction projects.
- Conduct site visits as required to prepare scope of work.
- Coordinate details of store signage shop drawings and obtain landlord approval.
- Prepare and update budget, respect approval process and budget for all Construction projects.
- Responsible for the administration of insurance certificates and business licenses where applicable
- Set up and cancel all utility accounts
- Partner with external and internal customers such as landlords, mall management, operations team, visual team, marketing team, HR team, LP team, accounting, executive, etc...
- Coordination of all off-site storage needs
- Responsible for managing all fire inspections and safety maintenance for store level.
- Manage all HVAC issues and contracts for store level
Qualifications- Background in retail store construction/project management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
- Knowledge of architectural, mechanical and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of construction industry terms and protocols
- Working knowledge of retail design practices and processes
- Ability to problem solve through creative solutions
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office, Illustrator, Adobe
- Flexibility to travel within Canada
