We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Studio Assistant to support the daily operations of a busy floral preservation studio. This role is focused on maintaining an organized, clean, and functional workspace so that creative production can run efficiently.
This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role suited to someone who takes pride in creating order, enjoys methodical tasks, and understands that a well-maintained environment directly impacts the quality of work. Ideally, I’d love to eventually train an assistant to help with order fulfillment.
$20.00/hour, but flexible for the right person.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudio Organization & Maintenance- Maintain a clean, tidy, and visually cohesive studio environment at all times
- Organize tools, materials, and inventory in a logical and consistent system
- Reset workstations between projects to ensure readiness for production
- Manage storage systems, shelving, and supply zones
Cleaning & Care- Perform regular cleaning of all studio surfaces, tools, and equipment
- Handle delicate materials (including dried and pressed florals) with care
- Dispose of waste and recycling efficiently and responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness standards suitable for client visits
Inventory Support- Track supplies and flag low inventory items
- Assist with restocking materials and organizing incoming shipments
- Label and store materials accurately
Operational Support- Assist with basic, non-creative studio tasks as needed
- Prepare materials and workspace for upcoming projects
- Support workflow by anticipating organizational needs
Qualifications- Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness
- Naturally organized and systems-oriented
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable with repetitive, process-driven tasks
- Physically capable of light lifting and extended periods of standing
- Respectful of delicate, high-value materials
Preferred (Not Required)- Experience in a studio, workshop, or small business environment
- Interest in art, design, or floral work
- Familiarity with organizing systems or inventory management
