About the RoleCanada U-Tutoring Learning Institute is seeking motivated and responsible Summer Camp Coordinators to support the delivery of our 2026 summer camp program.
Our camp is project-based and interdisciplinary, with a strong focus on financial literacy, economics, entrepreneurship, pitching, and public speaking. Students will work through hands-on projects, collaborative challenges, presentations, and real-world learning tasks designed to build confidence, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Summer Camp Coordinators will help supervise students, support camp operations, assist with project-based activities, and contribute to a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the daily coordination and smooth operation of the summer camp program
- Supervise and engage students throughout classes, workshops, activities, transitions, and breaks
- Assist with the implementation of project-based learning activities related to financial literacy, economics, entrepreneurship, and communication
- Support students in group work, presentations, pitch preparation, and public speaking activities
- Help prepare materials, classroom resources, and activity setups for camp sessions
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, respectful, and well-managed camp environment
- Assist lead teachers and camp staff with classroom management and student support
- Monitor student safety and follow all camp procedures, health and safety expectations, and organizational policies
- Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families when needed
- Support general camp administration, attendance, transitions, and documentation as assigned
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with children or youth in camps, classrooms, creative programs, tutoring classes or othereducational settings
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work well in a team
- Confidence in leading activities, managing groups, and supporting student engagement Interest in education, leadership, or camp programming
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to model professionalism, responsibility, and enthusiasm
Additional AssetsPreference will be given to candidates who have experience or strong interest in one or more of the following:
- Project-based learning (PBL)
- Financial literacy or introductory economics education
- Entrepreneurship education
- Teaching or mentoring students in business idea development
- Coaching students on pitching, presentations, or public speaking
- Supporting youth in innovation projects, business simulations, or funding pitch activities
Candidates with experience helping students think through how to start a business, build an idea, solve a real-world problem, or present a pitch clearly and confidently are especially encouraged to apply.
Eligibility RequirementsThis position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. To be eligible, applicants must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred
- have a valid Social Insurance Number
- be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial and federal requirements
