Position Summary:Shifts are every week- Mon 9am-5pm, Tues 9am-5pm or 2pm-10pm as needed), Fri 9am-5pm & Sat 9am-5pm.
This position requires personal care and hygiene (applicants must be physically fit and able to perform lifts and transfers) and have strong math skills for calculating dietary needs.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Community Disability Services Worker is responsible for providing support to Individuals in accordance with Blue Heron’s philosophy, the Principles of Support and the Individual’s Personal Support plan. The Community Disability Services Worker provides support that facilitates the Individual’s growth, development and achievement of personal goals.
The Community Disability Services Worker works closely and in consultation with the Team Leader, Program Coordinator and the Individual’s support team.

Qualificationsa. Education- High School Diploma
- Valid Intermediate First Aid Certificate
- Foundations or Basic Skills Training
or
- Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Human Services
b. Experience- Six month’s experience in the Human Services field preferred.
c. Other- Criminal Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Alberta driver’s license and access to a safe vehicle.

Pay:$20.88-$29.98 per hour
