Training & RequirementsYou need to begin is:
- A valid Standard First Aid CPR-C certificate
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check done within last 6 months
- A passion for fostering independence, dignity, and respect
Additional training with clients is provided in-house, and you are paid your hourly rate while attending this training.
Your Responsibilities as a Support Worker- Assisting members with daily living tasks (bathing, personal care, meal prep, cleaning, laundry, shopping, medical appointments, etc.)
- Building and maintaining strong, respectful relationships with members
- Supporting confidence, independence, and community participation
- Planning leisure and recreational activities
- Responding appropriately during crises or emergencies
- Making a positive and lasting impact on members’ quality of life
- Working collaboratively within your team
All staff are required to work every other weekend.
