Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Taproom Manager to lead day-to-day operations, support staff, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role is key to maintaining our culture, driving sales, and keeping operations running smoothly.

Schedule & Availability

• Full-time position (approx. 40-45 hours/week)
• Must have open and flexible availability for the business
• Typical schedule is Tuesday-Saturday with varying shifts throughout the business hours
• Flexibility required for events, holidays, and seasonal changes

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Oversee daily taproom operations
• Open/close procedures and cash handling
• Inventory ordering + tracking (beer, liquor, merch, supplies etc.)
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance (health & safety)

Team Management

• Hire, train, and schedule staff
• Lead shifts and support team during service
• Set expectations and maintain accountability
• Handle performance issues and coaching
• Delegating tasks to Taproom Assistant Manager

Customer Experience

• Ensure high-quality, consistent service
• Handle customer concerns and feedback
• Maintain welcoming and inclusive environment

Sales & Business Performance

• Monitor sales and labour targets
• Support promotions, events, and upselling
• Collaborate on ways to grow taproom revenue

Events & Community

• Help plan and execute all reserved events within the Taproom
• Planning internal events (trivia, live music, dart leagues, pool leagues)
• Represent the brand in the community

Assets & Experience

Required

• Previous hospitality or bar management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Pro-Serve AGLC

Preferred Assets

• Experience in a brewery or craft beer environment; Passion for craft beer
• Knowledge of beer styles and draft systems
• Event planning or community engagement experience
• Experience with Push (Scheduling app), OpenTable, and Lightspeed (POS) is an asset
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite
• Passion for craft beer and local business
