Position:Teaching Assistant (1 Position - CUPE 3902, Unit 2)
EDS265H1F: Introduction to TeachingBuilds understanding of teaching as professional practice. The course primarily focuses on the research base underlying policies and documents such as the Foundations of Professional Practice.

Class schedule: Mondays 1-3pm (lecture); Mondays 3pm/4pm (tutorial)
Dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026
Salary: $53.92 per hour as per CUPE agreement
Course Modality: In-person, Victoria College campus
Qualifications required:- Graduate student in Education (Ph.D. students preferred but Master-level students will be considered). Preference in hiring will be given to graduate students at the University of Toronto and those with prior TA experience
- Experience teaching in K-12 or university/college settings
- Familiarity with the Ontario College of Teachers Standards of Professional Practice
- Passion for learning and teaching
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have high capacity for objective, consistent evaluation of student performance
Description of duties:The TA will lead tutorials, mark student assignments, respond to assignment-related inquiries from students, track student attendance and monitor participation in classes.
