We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Media Division. This individual will lead multiple high-priority, complex projects involving digital signage, network deployments, and technology installations within construction and renovation environments. You will provide the project leadership required to plan, manage, implement, and deliver technical solutions that meet client requirements. You will oversee all assigned projects through every phase, from design and planning to execution, installation, and final handover, ensuring alignment with business strategies and client expectations. This is a full-time permanent role.
Job DescriptionDuties would include but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities- Accountable for successful delivery of assigned digital and network installation projects.
- Manage the full project lifecycle from kick off to delivery and transition to service.
- Manage cross-functional teams including Design Solutions, Engineering, IT/Network Operations, Procurement, Production, Shipping, and Service.
- Translate technical design packages into actionable project plans, schedules, and installation requirements.
- Maintain project documentation including scope, deliverables, risk registers, action logs, and change requests.
- Ensure all project activities align with client requirements, technical specifications, and installation standards.
- Engage stakeholders across marketing, IT, construction, and operations to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and critical paths, adjusting plans proactively to maintain delivery targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and document project risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies.
- Oversee site readiness, installation coordination, and deployment activities with internal teams and external partners.
- Provide ongoing communication to key stakeholders, including project sponsors, internal leadership, and client contacts.
- Deliver timely and accurate reporting on milestones, risks, deliverables, and project health.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, subcontractors, and external consultants.
- Lead implementation planning, installation scheduling, and site mobilization activities for digital and network deployments.
Skills, Education and Experience- Degree or diploma in project management, information technology, construction management, or related discipline is an asset.
- Experience managing technology deployments, digital signage installations, IT rollouts, or network infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices is an asset.
- Strong ability to interpret technical design packages and translate them into executable project plans.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse client stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with risk mitigation, issue management, and change control processes.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Click up, or equivalent).
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a vehicle for corporate business (mileage compensated).
- Demonstrates sound judgment, initiative, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in fast-paced environments.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience.
Extra Duties- Provide vacation coverage for the department as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
