Investment Analyst

Dedale Intelligence is building its Toronto team and is seeking an analyst to conduct research and due diligence on software and technology companies.

About Dedale

Dedale provides strategic intelligence to investors and corporations, with a focus on North America and Europe. Its research and investment team specializes in B2B software due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on software and technology companies.
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on public and private companies.
• Use quantitative modelling, qualitative analysis, and expert interviews to develop insights.
• Monitor identified companies and prepare financial research, strategic screening, and communications materials.
• Present findings internally and externally to support investment decisions.
• Support process improvements and screen new companies.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in business, finance, corporate finance, engineering, or strategy; the posting seeks candidates with a strong academic background.
• One to two years of relevant experience in strategy, finance, or business, including relevant internships.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with excellent Excel skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English; French, German, or Italian is an asset.
• Interest in technology, innovation, and investment.

Recruitment process

Synthesis and Excel test, interview with an Associate, case study and debrief with a Manager, and final on-site interview with the Managing Director and HR team.
