OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local and regional freight deliveries
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, including automotive repair tasks when necessary
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading processes
Skills- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues (preferred)
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
