DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly evolving aerospace and drone technology organization at the forefront of surveillance, infrastructure monitoring, and public safety solutions. As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a critical role in driving top-of-funnel growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients across Canada and the U.S. This role sits at the intersection of advanced aerial technology and complex B2B sales. You will be responsible for generating high-quality meetings and building a strong pipeline that fuels revenue growth for the Account Executive team.
ResponsibilitiesProspecting & Lead Generation- Identify and target key accounts across various verticals
- Conduct outbound outreach via calls, email campaigns, and social platform selling
- Research organizations, stakeholders, and decision-makers (operations, procurement, leadership)
Appointment Setting & Qualification- Qualify leads using structured frameworks such as BANT / MEDDIC or similar
- Book high-quality discovery meetings and product demos for Account Executives
- Ensure meetings are well-prepared with clear context, business pain, and objectives
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of Qualified Sales Leads
Pipeline & CRM Management- Accurately log all outreach activities and pipeline updates in CRM, such as Salesforce/HubSpot or similar
- Track performance metrics, including conversion rates and activity levels
- Collaborate with marketing on campaign execution and lead follow-ups
Collaboration- Partner closely with Account Executives for seamless handoff and deal progression
- Work with marketing to refine messaging and outreach strategies
- Gain a foundational understanding of technical drone/aerospace solutions
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in BDR inside sales or technical sales roles
- Proven track record of booking meetings and achieving activity targets
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, and outreach tools)
- Strong outbound prospecting, high activity volume, and rejection
- Experience using CRM tools
- Experience in technology, hardware/software equipment, and sales experience.
- Experience in the drone, UAV, aerospace, robotics, or defense industries is preferred but not a must.
- Experience is selling to one or more of the above verticals
- Exposure to enterprise or public sales cycles
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset for the Quebec position.
