Responsibilities- Maintain the daily rhythm of the facility by directing the Distribution Operations Manager activities, from morning warehouse opening through to final fleet dispatch.
- Supervise a diverse team of over 40 personnel, including direct reports and hourly staff, while coaching supervisors to achieve high-performance outcomes.
- Optimize fleet logistics by monitoring route efficiency, tracking maintenance costs per vehicle, and ensuring full compliance and safety.
- Utilize SAP to manage inventory integrity, resolve bin-level discrepancies, and generate weekly operational performance reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain safety standards by enforcing OHSA requirements and fostering a near-miss reporting culture.
Qualifications- You possess 5-10 years of leadership experience in logistics or warehouse environments, with at least 3 years managing through supervisory layers.
- A proven background in the MRO or building materials industry is highly preferred to navigate the nuances of trade distribution.
- You are technically proficient in SAP Business One or an equivalent ERP system and are comfortable leveraging data to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario's OHSA and CVOR compliance is required to ensure the safety of the delivery fleet and warehouse teams.
- You must be a hands-on leader capable of operating a forklift and managing a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and professional reference verification is mandatory for this Distribution Operations Manager role.
