Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to shipping, receiving, order picking, and heavy equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse distribution, management systems, and heavy machinery operation within a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued for this role.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane, clamp truck, and other heavy machinery
• Pick and pack orders accurately utilizing warehouse management systems and order picker tools
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and cranes, adhering to safety protocols
• Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
• Maintain organization within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage of materials and supplies
• Assist with construction or maintenance tasks as needed within the warehouse setting
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
• Support inventory management through accurate counting, recording, and documentation of stock levels
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials throughout the warehouse

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields
• Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or similar machinery
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a busy environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload materials regularly
• Prior construction or industrial experience is a plus but not required
• Valid certification or training in forklift operation or heavy equipment is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with good communication skills
