Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in a dynamic distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and supply chain processes. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, managing inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties- Lead and supervise warehouse team members, including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Oversee inventory management using ERP systems such as SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Coordinate with procurement and purchasing departments to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety training sessions.
- Manage warehouse documentation using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and specialized software like AS400 and ERP platforms.
- Monitor order accuracy, timeliness of shipments, and overall warehouse productivity.
- Supervise forklift operations and heavy lifting tasks while maintaining safety standards.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve order discrepancies or delivery issues.
- Facilitate communication across departments to support e-commerce fulfillment, packaging, and distribution processes.
- Conduct data analysis for process improvement opportunities and report on key performance indicators.
Experience- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with a focus on supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (ERP systems, WMS) including SAP and AS400.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with computer science concepts is a plus.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification preferred.
- Bilingual skills in English and French are advantageous for diverse team communication.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order processing.
- Familiarity with 3PL logistics, supply chain operations, purchasing procedures, and e-commerce fulfillment is desirable.
