Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced painter with a minimum of six months of hands-on experience in paint work and a solid understanding of painting techniques. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge about various painting methods and be capable of contributing effectively to residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration and construction painting, utilizing your skills in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of hand and power tools. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, time management abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Duties- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed for different types of projects.
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of paint in accordance with project specifications.
- Perform caulking and sealing to ensure smooth finishes and prevent leaks or damage.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Assist with rigging and scaffolding setup when working on elevated or hard-to-reach areas.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.
Skills- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics related to construction or restoration projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools used in painting applications.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for scaffolding or lifts when working at heights.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and painting operations.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
- Basic carpentry skills are a plus for minor repairs or adjustments during projects.
