OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural components, and custom assemblies, utilizing various welding techniques and fabrication tools. The Welder will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and safety of our products while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
Responsibilities- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications.
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools for fabrication tasks.
- Use calipers, power tools, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise dimensions and quality standards.
- Assist with rigging, assembly, and installation of fabricated components in manufacturing or construction settings.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures related to welding, machining, and material handling.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving crane operation, machining, or ductwork fabrication.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using visual checks and testing methods.
Requirements- Proven experience in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and fabrication processes.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation (preferred), and forklift handling is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precision work.
- Experience working with press brake machines or ductwork fabrication is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing or construction environments with adherence to safety standards.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening including background checks as required.
